Choose the Right Meat Cold Room by ProcessNot Volume Alone

The correct system depends on product condition, daily incoming load, entry temperature, target core temperature, tempo de descida, packaging and local ambient conditions.

01 C to +4°C

Fresh Meat Chiller Room

Keep fresh pork, carne bovina, lamb and poultry stable before cutting, packing or dispatch.

Melhor para: butcheries, processors, distribution hubs
02 −18°C to −25°C

Frozen Meat Storage Room

Store frozen meat long term while coordinating racking, forklift access and controlled defrost.

Melhor para: atacadistas, importadores, cold-chain warehouses
03 −30°C to −40°C

Meat Blast Freezer

We size rapid pull-down systems around batch weight, entry temperature, freezing time and target core temperature.

Melhor para: slaughterhouses, export plants, high-throughput factories
04 Multi-temperature

Combined Processing Cold Room

We coordinate chiller, congelador, ante-room and staging zones in one modular workflow.

Melhor para: turnkey contractors and expanding food facilities
Engineering design basis

Room Air Temperature Is Not Product Core Temperature

Room air may reach −18°C while meat at its core remains warmer. We calculate the product heat and include it when we select the refrigeration system.

Sala °C ≠ Product Core °C

Storage Duty and Freezing Duty Require Different Capacity

A frozen storage room maintains meat after the product reaches frozen storage temperature. A blast freezer removes product heat within the time your process allows. If you use storage-room capacity for a freezing process, you may face long pull-down times, unstable temperatures and production delays.

Critical Details That Protect Product, Uptime and Operating Cost

A useful proposal should show how the system responds to real operating conditionsnot only list component brands and room temperature.

01

Product Load & Pull-Down

We check capacity against product entry temperature, batch weight, target core temperature and time target.

02

Hygienic Room Details

We coordinate food-safe surfaces, cleanable joints, drenagem, anti-slip floors and raw-product workflow early.

03

High-Ambient Selection

We select condensing equipment for the project location and design ambient, including hot climates.

04

Power & System Protection

We confirm voltage, fase, frequência, starting current and protection logic before production.

05

Monitoring & Redundancy

Remote alarms, registro de dados, multi-compressor staging and N+1 options can reduce product-loss risk.

06

Serviceable Components

Internationally available compressors, controls and service parts simplify long-term local maintenance.

Complete room and supply scope

Define the Enclosure, Refrigeração, Hygiene and Site Responsibilities

Meat cold storage requires more than insulated panels and a compressor. The proposal should coordinate cleanability, vedação de porta, air distribution, drenagem, proteção de piso, controls and installation boundaries.

Typical Supply & Design Options

PU / PIR Panels Food-safe metal skin and project-specific thickness
Portas de câmara frigorífica Articulado, sliding or traffic-door configurations
Unidades de refrigeração Monoblock, split or component-based systems
Air Coolers We match air throw and coil duty to the room
Control & Monitoring Temperatura, descongelar, alarms and protection logic
Floor & Safety Isolamento, anti-slip finish, emergency release and lighting

Optional scope can include racking coordination, ante-room planning, drainage details, pressure-relief valves and remote monitoring interfaces.

Clear before ordering

A Scope Matrix That Reduces Site Disputes

The written quotation and bill of materials confirm each party's final responsibilities.

Buyer questions

Meat Cold Room FAQ

Is room temperature the same as product core temperature?

Não. Room air may reach the set point while meat at its core remains warmer. We include product weight, entry temperature, embalagem, airflow and available pull-down time when we size a system for product cooling or freezing.

What is the difference between frozen storage and blast freezing?

Frozen storage maintains meat after it reaches frozen storage temperature. Blast freezing removes product heat within the time your process allows. We define batch weight, entry temperature, target core temperature, product arrangement and freezing time before we size a blast freezer.

How do you select refrigeration capacity for a meat cold room?

We calculate transmission, product pull-down, door infiltration, pessoas, iluminação, fãs, defrost and local ambient conditions. Volume-only rules can support early budgeting, but they cannot support final equipment selection.

Which panel thickness is suitable for frozen meat storage?

Many frozen rooms use 120–150 mm PU or PIR panels, while blast-freezing and high-ambient projects may require thicker insulation. We check room temperature, clima, floor construction and energy targets before we confirm panel thickness.

Can you supply the system for our contractor to install?

Sim. We can supply modular panels, portas, equipamento de refrigeração, controles, acessórios, packing marks and installation guidance. Both parties define responsibility for site piping, fiação, refrigerante, lifting, labor and commissioning in the quotation.

Can you provide alarms, remote monitoring and system redundancy?

Sim. We can add temperature data logging, remote alarms, multi-compressor staging, duty/standby control and N+1 redundancy. Tell us how you expect the room to respond during a component failure before we select the system.

Planning a Meat Cold Room That Must Perform Under Real Load?

Share your room dimensions, meat process, daily load, entry temperature and target core temperature. We will recommend an enclosure, refrigeration package and supply scope for your project.
