In this article, we will give you actual example how did we work in this cold room project and keep stored products fresh and durable, so as a reference for customers who need similar cold room projects.

Clients need to accurately control the cold room temperture scope to avoid any damage for the goods, here are the details about this cold room project.
Country: UAE
Ambient Temperature: Max 50~55°C ( Maximum 15 days for total in summer)
Cold room size: 7X3.5X2.5m (length x width x height)
Cold room application: Store medicine
Cold room temperature: Constant 2~8°C
Inverter condensing unit location: On the roof (totally six floors)
Cold room location: Basement
Direct distance between roof and basement: 25m
Basic Solution
Inverter Condensing unit (outdoor unit): 5HP(Horsepower), 220V, 1phase 50Hz, R404 refrigerant. with oil return bend protection system, with 50m cable connect to display screen board. As max ambient temperature is 50~55°C, so must use bigger size condensing unit (use 5HP but not 4HP), also need a shelder to lower the temperature around the unit.
Evaporator unit (indoor unit): 6.5HP 220V, 1 phase 50Hz
Cold room panel: 150mm thickness PU sandwich panel with 0.35mm galvanized steel
Cold room door: 150mm thickness PU sandwich panel with 10cm height threshold ( for better airtightness), cold room size–1.8×0.9m (height x width)

Specific Solution
1. Use oil return bend system ( make several oil return bends when the pipe installation) , max preparing 50m cable to avoid any short of length, see the draft at below:

2. Prepare 2 sets refrigeration equipments ( each set included 1pc condensing unit and 1pc evaporator unit), to avoid any sudden damage.
3. Prepare a plastic air stripe curtain to avoid any cooling air to waste.
4. Minimize the installation length, because more longer means more chance to loss cooling air.
5. Use sealant to get better airtightness, because room temperature need constant 2~8°C
6. Prepare a 20~25kva diesel generator (which can supply both 220V and 380V) for backup when any sudden outage.
7. Use a window balance with 220V 50HZ to balance room inside and outside pressure.
8. Use one or two LED cold room light to keep the light clearly inside of the cold room.
9. Use LED display screen board for inverter condensing unit to monitor the cold room temperature in real time.
